Body and Soul was written at time when I was worn. Being highly ambitious I came to point where I was just worn with having ambition with no where to go with it. To me this song is my swagger, nervousness, boldness, and yet uncertainty all rolled in to one. Its about giving up everything you have been working toward and just handing over to God. Body and Soul is about coming to God so broken, tired, and over burden and saying," here I am Lord in all my brokenness please accept me for who I am". Its about turning over worldly things I have been striving for to to God and that ultimately my own ambitions I need to give and turn over to Him so he can direct them. -Ecclesiastes 5:15- 20 - 1 Cor 3:16-23, Proverbs 3: 5-6 - Ps: 55-22
